Hummingbird volunteers learn lifesaving skills and knowledge towards becoming successful First Aiders.
From learning how to administer CPR on a child manikin to identifying bumps and bruises on children, this week saw the Hummingbirds volunteers continue their Level 3 Award in Pediatric First Aid.
This free 6-week course will teach the volunteers the responsibilities of being able to provide first aid for a child.
The volunteers used child manikins to demonstrate their new knowledge and skills on identifying the cause of the problem and minimizing the risk of infections to themselves and others.
We really are proud of the Hummingbirds volunteers for working towards becoming qualified First Aiders.
