Record numbers at Woodpecker for Read Aloud

Over 120 parents and children attended the latest Read Aloud event hosted by the Community Outreach Team and the school for our early years families. Several rounds of extra chairs had to be put out as the families continued to pour into the hall.

A range of activities were held, including poetry readings by the children, an art class, advice for parents on reading at home, and the ever-popular book swap.

There was a brief but informative talk about the different services on offer from local libraries, and the children loved the ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’ story.

We had some fantastic feedback from parents. The most common being: When is your next event please?
