Police officer talks to Woodpecker parents on Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day at Woodpecker Hall

Tuesday 5th February was Safer Internet Day.

All pupils, in assembly, were given a presentation suited to their age group, about being safer on the Internet.

A coffee morning was held at 8:45am - 10am and 5pm - 6pm in the hall educating parents on how to make sure their child is safe on the Internet.

A range of topics were discussed such as:

Managing your child’s internet use.
What are the dangers?
What is appropriate and inappropriate on the internet?
Ensuring your child makes the best use of the internet.

PC Louise Dunstone-Patterson from Edmonton Police Station worked with us to deliver an informative presentation to parents in attendance.

"It was great to have PC Dunstone-Patterson with us this morning to deliver a workshop on Internet safety, the parents found the presentation extremely informative and insightful. We look forward to working with the community police in the future." - Sharon Parson, Headteacher
