Year 3 children experience life in Ancient Greece.

This week, the Year 3 children went back in time to experience life in Ancient Greece.

They dressed as Greek Gods and Goddesses, designed charms, developed medicines to cure illnesses, crushed olives to make olive oil and painted on tiles. Our wonderful parent volunteers helped manage the different stalls. To end the day, the children acted out stories from Aesop’s Fables, which are stories that portrayed animals. Some of the famous stories include The Hare and the Tortoise and The Lion and the Mouse.

This experience allowed the youngsters to learn about how people lived in Ancient Greece.

It was an educational experience for the children to immerse themselves in living life in a different era.

Many thanks to the parent volunteers for helping out and making the day run as smoothly as possible.
