Festive celebrations take place as the knitting and crochet club celebrates Eid.

This week members of the knitting club gathered to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr, a religious festival celebrated by 1.8 billion Muslims around the world. Eid-Ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan where Muslims fast for 30 days.

During the festive period for Muslims, food and gifts are exchanged.

The knitting club celebrated with an array of homemade delicious food from around the world, a mehndi artist also attended to paint the member’s hands and create beautiful designs and finally lots of fun and entertaining conversations.

It was such a welcoming and warm gathering and it is great to see all religious festivals being celebrated. We look forward to celebrating more religious festivals in the future.
